Hello! I’m so glad you’re here. While I started my professional career the field of social work, I fell in love with photography and storytelling after becoming a Storyteller for Humans of St. Louis. As I hope you can tell from my website, capturing real people and relationship is my favorite part of photography. I love to take pictures in places that have meaning to the people being photographed, too. I am confident in my craft but always learning and willing to try new ideas and things. I believe that people should feel authentically themselves in their photos and aim to bring out the best in people I shoot.

While not a native of St. Louis, I’ve lived here for fourteen years and consider it home. My partner Ben and I have two kids (Isaac and Lily) and a dog (Justice). We live in South St. Louis City, and I’m always looking for new and interesting places to photograph. Some of my favorite photos end up being of the everyday moments of my kids.

About me

Along with photography, I do storytelling for the following projects:

I appreciate the opportunity to be creative in photography, and I’m lucky to have a family that is willing to indulge my ideas. If I get an itch, I’ll build a backdrop, whether it’s 314-themed, Valentine’s Day, or a homemade popsicle cart. I’m always up for the opportunity to create. My absolute favorite has been our annual Halloween costume tradition, where we do a DIY family costume and photoshoot each year.

The most important thing to me is that the images I take are authentic in the fact that they capture real people and real emotion, even if we get a little creative on the way!
